A latest research report estimates that wearable patch sale will see significant growth by 2022. The report which was prepared and released by Tractica estimates that the shipment of such wearables would reach a total of 35.1 million units every year by the year 2020.
 
Worn for a small period time – ranging from an hour to may be several weeks, patches, tattoos and even small devices are included in the connected wearable patch segment. These attachments are affixed to the skin. These wearables also typically have medical, health, or wellness aims usage which ranges from monitoring of physiological data that are used in diagnosis and medication and which are delivered to the intended receiver through a wireless system data transfer.
