Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey Threatened by Islamic State in a Video for Blocking Jihadi Accounts

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey were threatened with death by the supporters of the Islamic State in a new video.

The supporters are miffed at the efforts of both the companies to wipe terrorist accounts from social media.

Pictures of both entrepreneurs covered in bullet holes were gets featured in the 25-minute video titled Flames Of The Supporters, found by Vocativ on Wednesday.

The militant group warned they will retaliate to any attempt to drive them off the sites and claimed that they control more than 10,000 Facebook accounts, 150 Facebook groups and 5,000 Twitter profiles.

It is a fact that has been proven by a number of investigating agencies that the Islamic State uses these social media accounts to spread terrorism and attract followers and fighters into Syria.

In the video there were text flashes up on the screen, which reads: 'To Mark and Jack, founders of Twitter and Facebook and to their Crusader government. 'You announce daily that you suspend many of our accounts. 'And to you we say: Is that all you can do? You are not in our league.'

The militants on Facebook and Twitter, hacking accounts and changing their profile pictures to ISIS propaganda is also shown in the video .

'If you close one account we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete your sites, Allah willing, and will know that we say is true,' it warns in subtitles.

Vocativ reports that a group that calls itself 'the sons of the Caliphate army' published the video clip on Telegram - a social media site popular with ISIS militants.

Facebook declined to comment on the video.

There has also not been any response from Twitter on the video and its threats.

The threat was issued after both Zuckerberg and Dorsey had made announcements of an intense push against terrorist users on their social networks.

The Islamic State uses the social network as one of its key media to spread propaganda and very recently Twitter has closed at least 125,000 accounts tied to the Islamic State which were found to be propagating Islamic State views.

Similar steps have been initiated by Facebook as well. Users of face book were called on to to 'attack' any terrorist-linked posts with 'likes' by Sheryl Sandberg, the firm's chief operating officer.

A 34-page handbook written for the jihadis last year emerged with the extensive list of encrypted messaging services, email providers, and GPS blockers ISIS use to dodge restrictions.

The handbook was obtained by independent military research group Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) and published on Scribd by Yahoo.

Instagram was recommended to be used by the jihadis in the handbook due to the fact that the owner, Facebook, 'has a bad reputation in the protection of privacy'.

Since internet is required for messaging services WhatsApp and Line and since they cannot be easily masked by encryption devices, these were also banned as claimed in the handbook.

Since 'Snowden advised not to use the service', and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is on the board of directors, the jihadis have been advised not to use Dropbox.

The hand book advises jihadis and their sympathizers to link their mobile browsers to a virtual private network (VPN) so that they cannot be detected as this system would mask the location and a foreign IP address would be used instead which would make it look to outsiders like the users are in another city or country.

The sympathizers were also advised to use apps such as Mappr, which can falsify GPS in case they decided to upload pictures to sites such as Twitter, which shows the geographic location of an image.

Advice to 'always check location' to ensure it is switched off or shows somewhere else were also given when the sympathizers use Twitter.
