Apple's Electric Vehicle Could Be Launched By 2025m Claims Bloomberg News Report
It’s much talked about electric car is being pushed to be launched by as soon as 2025 while the iPhone maker is now concentrating on developing complete self-driving capabilities for the planned electric vehicle, claimed a news report published by Bloomberg News quoting sources that have knowledge of the matter.
 
The publication of the report also pushed up the stocks of the company by as much as 3 per cent thus hitting a new high.
 
According to the report, the planned electric vehicle is designed to not have any steering wheel and pedals for speeding or braking and the interiors of the car is reportedly designed to support complete hands free driving.
 
It was back in 2014 that the company has first create the design of the car from scratch and this effort of the company to venture into the automotive arena, also known as Project Titan, have been through hic ups intermittently.
 
With countries as well as customers themselves have turned more climate conscious, there has been a growth in demand for electric vehicles all in many parts of the world which has aided in the surge of market values of companies in the electric vehicle field like Tesla and Rivian as their market valuations have risen well over those of established conventional auto companies that have been in business for decades longer than the electric vehicle startups.
 
"It's a matter of when, not if," Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said, and added that there is a possibility of 60 to 65 per cent that the iPhone maker will un veil its own standalone electric car.
 
While there is some skepticism about the reported timeline among people associated with the project, even as the project has in recent times made significant progress, according to the Bloomberg report,  which also stated that the company has so far been able to make progress with the planned car's underlying self-driving system, processor chips and advanced sensors.
 
There was however no comment from Apple on the issue.
 
There were reports in December last year about Apple having a target of manufacturing a passenger vehicle by 2024 which would include the own breakthrough battery technology developed by the company.
 
In a separate report, The Information claimed based on information provided by sources with knowledge of the matter, Apple was getting ready to get its employees back to offices form February next year and employees will be allowed to work remotely or from home for four weeks every year.
